Structural steel, fabricated in our Logan Avenue shop
Beams, columns, base plates, frames and connections — cut, fitted and welded by a CWB-certified shop, then delivered and erected by the same crew.
- Certified
- CWB · CSA W47.1 Div. 2
- Materials
- Mild steel, stainless, aluminum
- Shop
- 975 Logan Ave, Winnipeg
Most of what leaves our shop ends up holding something up. Building frames, additions, canopies, mezzanines, platforms and the connections that tie them together — fabricated to the drawings, checked against them, and ready to bolt up when they reach site.
Because we draft, fabricate, deliver and erect, one crew owns the job from the shop drawings to the last plumb-up. Fewer hand-offs means fewer surprises on site.

Questions we get
Are you certified to weld structural steel?
Yes. Merit Iron is certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau to CSA W47.1, Division 2.
Do you supply the steel or do I?
We supply and fabricate. Send the drawings or a sketch and we’ll quote material and labour together.
Can you galvanize?
We coordinate hot-dip galvanizing, primer or paint so the steel arrives with the finish the specs call for.

Send us the drawings.
IFC set, a sketch with dimensions or a photo of what needs fixing — we’ll come back with questions and a quote.
